About
Monica is a design and art director, specializing in creating flexible brand visual identity systems. With over 20 years of experience working with clients like Apple, Ford, Meta, Intuit, One Medical, Atlassian, MIT, and Revlon, she expertly develops brand visual language, design systems, guidelines, packaging, and art direction. Her career spans agencies, design studios, in-house work and independent projects in New York City, Boston, and the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective.
Passionate about artistic collaboration, Monica blends design with creative expression through book design and music. She was the creative director and producer of Lull Magazine, a multimedia project in 2019, and has helped many artists design and publish books and other media.
In her free time, she DJs under the name DEMONIKA exploring dark techno, producing ambient experimental music and making art. Her energy and creativity continually drive her to push boundaries and inspire others. Monica currently lives and works in Oakland, California with her partner and dog.
