Lull is a print magazine and visual arts showcase based in Oakland. As a way to share in common burdens, generalized anxiety, and setbacks from creative potential or personal expression, each issue manifests with contributing image makers with existential themes outside of their typical work.

ISSUE 1 — FATE

For the 2019 premiere issue of Lull titled "Fate", I curated three visual artists and lead creative direction for a series inspired by Tarot cards. This multimedia issue features photography by Heather McGrath, the Scavenger series, illustration by Olivia M. Healy, the Seeker series, and film, animation and sound by Ethan Indorf, the Surrendered series.

Issue 1 was made into a digital gallery where the photos, films and illustrations can be viewed. The full series of artists works, interviews and editorial reflections was published in the 144 page print magazine along with a limited run of 4x7" offset printed and foil stamped promotional "tarot" cards showcasing each artist series as keepsakes.

With the issue release and launch of the project, several artist events were held in Boston, Paris, and Oakland during the fall of 2019 with special guest appearance by cover model Lily Gatins.
